FAIRMONT VILLAGE

President's Message - December 2011

(re-printed from Dec - Jan edition of News & Views)

I am writing this my last newsletter as President of Fairmont Village.Today is October 23rd and I am not sure who is replacing me or who will make up the new Board of Directors. This will be determined at our annual meeting on November 9th . I will assume that as you read this letter you already know who they are. I would like to wish them the best of luck whomever they are! It has been a good experience these past four years serving as president of Fairmont Village. Now I think it is time for someone else to have the fun.

I would like to thank all the board members and various committee volunteers who helped make my job easy. I have said many times in the past we need your help to volunteer. This is still the need today.

I have met a lot of nice people over these past four years and for that I am thankful. As the new board takes over please remember they are all volunteers and are not paid to do their job. They are all residents of Fairmont just like you. Please treat them with respect and ask for help when you need something done don’t demand it.

At the November meeting we will be voting on the new Fairmont covenants and bylaws. It will be the board’s job to enforce these rules so please understand these rules have been approved by the majority of Fairmont residents and they are not made up by the board. So if the board tries to enforce a rule you are against don’t get mad at them. They are only doing the job you elected them to do.

The holiday season is fast approaching so I will close by saying happy and healthy holidays to all and thank you for all your past support! I hope to see you at the Fairmont Christmas Party.
